The Hebrew University Faculty of Law

Founded in 1949 immediately after the establishment of the State of Israel, HU's Faculty of Law is Israel’s world-renowned flagship of legal education and research. The Faculty is comprised of several research institutes and forums. Distinguished alumni include 15 current Supreme Court justices, Ambassadors to the United Nations, several Attorney-Generals, senior government officials, and of course, practicing lawyers.

The Faculty of Law supports and serves Jerusalem's underprivileged communities and community centers by promoting student volunteerism at specialized legal clinics. Learn more about the Clinical Legal Education Center for Human Rights and Social Responsibility and its women's rights program.  Read a newsletter about the experiences of  legal students working in these clinics.  View HU's new video: The Jerusalem Justice Center: Law Clinics for Social Responsibility
