HU in the Hamptons

Join us the weekend of Thursday, August 6 – Sunday, August 9, 2026, with the President of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for special high-level gatherings on the North and South Forks of Long Island for the annual HU in the Hamptons, hosted by American Friends of Hebrew University’s Northeast Region.

We are honored to welcome President Tamir Sheafer, who will share timely updates from Israel and offer insight into how the University is advancing learning, innovation, and community as it enters its next phase of rebuilding and growth.

Previously serving as Rector, Professor Sheafer led the University’s unprecedented support for students, reserve-duty soldiers, and communities impacted by the war. A leading expert in comparative and digital political communication, he has spearheaded international research collaborations and developed advanced deep learning–based tools to analyze political narratives.

We are excited to connect with you during this meaningful weekend in the Hamptons.

*Please note: Guests are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Please complete the interest form below to receive notification with additional details. In the meantime, if you have any questions, or wish to more become involved in supporting our work please contact the Northeast Region at [email protected].
