Born in Los Angeles, Shona Goldwirth moved to Israel when she was six years old. As a third-year medical student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Shona is an active IDF reservist and organized medical students to cover for physicians recruited for military service after October 7. The initiative placed over 200 medical student volunteers in hospitals in Jerusalem and 4,000 student volunteers overall throughout Israel.
