THE CHALLENGES WE’RE WORKING ON

To meet our growing energy needs, we’re turning to the sun for power.

HOW WE’RE SOLVING THEM

Converting solar light into electrical energy is a costly undertaking – until now. Researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the University of Bochum, in Germany, have proposed using organic materials like crops, as fuel.

THE IMPACT OF OUR WORK

If these new methods for creating energy can be adapted for homes and businesses, it will continue to push the global community toward its goals for green energy and sustainability.

This is just some of the work you fund when you give to American Friends of the Hebrew University.
