Hebrew University on the Road: Alumni and Friends Gather in South Florida

On November 5, American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) hosted a memorable evening of connection, conversation, and community at Sixty Vines in Boca Raton, FL.

More than 30 attendees—including Hebrew University and Rothberg International School alumni spanning the 1960s through the 2020s—came together to celebrate their shared ties to the University and its global impact.

Special guest Moriah Lamb, Associate Director of U.S. Partnerships and Recruitment at the Rothberg International School, shared exciting updates about new academic initiatives. Highlights included the innovative International Bachelor’s Degree Program, which enables students to complete a double-major degree in English in just three years, as well as a new summer course program for rising high school juniors and seniors. Lamb also discussed the vast array of master’s degree programs for English-speaking students and the growing interest among American students seeking academic opportunities at Hebrew University.

Christian Cox (RIS ’24) also addressed guests, reflecting on his own experiences and the lasting impact of his time at the Rothberg International School.

Guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and camaraderie—reconnecting with old friends and forging new relationships within the Hebrew University community.

The event underscored AFHU’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections among alumni of the Hebrew University, wherever they may be. As AFHU continues to expand its alumni reach, gatherings like this one remind supporters and friends of their shared purpose: to advance education, research, and innovation that strengthen both Israel and the wider world.
