Medical Cannabis research

Pioneering new paths in medicine and healthcare

Scientists at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem are global leaders in the field of cannabinoid medicine

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU) is one of the world’s leading institutions for coordinating and conducting cannabinoid research in the healthcare industry. Over the past 55 years, HU Professor Raphael Mechoulam (z”l), also known as the “Father of Cannabinoid Research,” researched the effects of cannabinoids on health. Today, researchers like Prof. Yossi Tam, Director of HU’s Multidisciplinary Center for Cannabinoid Research, continue to explore cannabinoids’ potential in the greater healthcare field.

The Center’s work focuses on integrating, coordinating, and conducting exciting research on cannabinoids, endocannabinoids, and medical cannabis and their potential for treating cancer, stress, pain, and immunity disorders.
