THE CHALLENGES WE’RE WORKING ON

Current medication delivery methods aren’t targeted enough to prevent drugs from degrading before reaching their destination.

HOW WE’RE SOLVING THEM

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in partnership with Cleveland Clinic, is pioneering nanotechnology research that will radically change how physicians deliver drugs to patients. A potentially transformative new dimension of medicine, this remarkably precise technology allows targeted delivery of drugs to be released at a specific site, causing fewer side effects than many traditional treatments. Customized and carefully calibrated drug treatment offers the possibility of greater effectiveness and patient safety.

THE IMPACT OF OUR WORK

The partnership between Cleveland Clinic and Hebrew University is advancing research in cardiovascular disease, neurological diseases, and cancer, ailments that afflict millions worldwide. This technology has also led to the development of less expensive devices that facilitate therapy and new ways of diagnosing disease. Together, these leading institutions are blazing new paths in the emerging field of nanotechnology, using nanoparticles invisible to the naked eye to create novel drug delivery systems and unique medical technologies with lifesaving potential.
