Ronald Zimmerman serves on AFHU’s National Board of Directors as a National Vice President and has maintained a steadfast commitment to the organization over the decades. An active member of the Executive and Investment Committees, Ron headed AFHU’s Financial and Real Estate Division for more than thirty years, cultivating awareness of, and support for, The Hebrew University among financial service industry leaders.
In 2013, Ron and his wife Jane received AFHU’s national Scopus Award in recognition of their humanitarian commitments and longstanding support for Israel and the university. During the 79th International Board of Governors, HU is honoring the Zimmermans at the Wall of Benefactors.
Ron is integrally involved with numerous Jewish and civic organizations; he served on the board of Temple Beth-El, and is a past president of the Grace Harbor Association in Kings Point. He worked in the chemical industry for a decade prior to embarking on a Wall Street career at Oppenheimer & Co. For the majority of his career, he was a Partner at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company, initially as head of Institutional Sales and Trading operations and as a Senior Institutional Salesperson.
