Jennifer M. Daniels is the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Colgate-Palmolive Company.  Prior to joining Colgate in November of 2014, she was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of NCR Corporation, and prior to NCR, she was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Barnes & Noble, Inc.  Ms. Daniels began her career at law firms in New York State, and then spent nearly 17 years in-house at IBM, where she held various positions, including General Counsel for IBM Americas, Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for Litigation, and Chief Trust and Compliance Officer, the first in IBM’s history.

Active in her community, Ms. Daniels has served as President of the Board of Trustees of The Greenwich Country Day School.  In 2009, she was among the recipients of the Greenwich YWCA’s BRAVA Award, which recognizes professional women who live or work in Greenwich or Stamford, CT.  Ms. Daniels is a Trustee of the National Humanities Center and a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession. Ms. Daniels is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School.

Ms. Daniels and her husband Dan, a partner at the Greenwich office of Wiggin & Dana LLP, have two children, Ben and Liza.



Meredith E. Kotler is a partner based in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and has been with the firm since 2009.  Ms. Kotler’s practice focuses on securities, merger, and commercial litigation. She represents public companies and financial institutions, as well as their officers and directors, in federal and state courts, and also before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency.

Prior to joining Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Ms. Kotler was a partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for five years. From 1998 to 2004, Ms. Kotler served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, and as Deputy Chief Appellate Attorney for the last year and a half of her tenure. Ms. Kotler received a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Princeton University. In 1997, she clerked for the Honorable Barbara S. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Kotler and her husband, Daniel Gitner, a partner at Lankler Siffert & Wohl, live in New York with their children, Jake and Madelyn.
