Ranked #1 in Arts & Humanities, #1 in Life Sciences & Medicine, in Israel

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem has been ranked first in Israel and 138th globally in the 2014-2015 QS World University Rankings. This represents an increase of three positions for the university, which last year was ranked 141 internationally.

Within Israel, The Hebrew University was also ranked first in Life Sciences & Medicine, first in Arts & Humanities, and first in Academic Reputation.

Last month (August 2014), The Hebrew University was ranked #1 in Israel, #3 in Asia, and 70th globally by the 2014 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU or “Shanghai Ranking”). Since 2003, the authoritative Shanghai ranking has rated the world’s 500 best universities from more than 1,200 surveyed (see http://new.huji.ac.il/en/article/22802).
