NexusTalks: Troubled Water

Seth M. Siegel, New York Times best-selling author, HU alumnus, and self-proclaimed water activist, spoke at our recent NexusTalks event hosted by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Seth shared eye-opening statistics, interviews with researchers, and the ugly truths about why lawmakers are not addressing water security. In his newly released book, Troubled Water- What’s Wrong with What We Drink, Seth outlines the issues that have brought us to our current water crisis and why our health is at risk.

Seth captivated the audience throughout his lecture and lively Q&A. Attendees even stayed late to continue the conversation about water purification and how we can be advocates to ensure that we and our future generations have safe drinking water.

A man with a mission, Seth actively voices his concerns to local lawmakers, Washington legislators and speaks worldwide, hoping to direct attention to our water safety problem and ignite calls-to-action.  Our water may not be clear, but the evening’s message surely was, “ACT NOW!”
