June 9, 2015 —The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is proud to offer an encore presentation of Prof. Idan Segev’s popular online course, “Synapses, Neurons and Brains.”
The course is open to the public and free of charge. Course registration is now open at https://www.coursera.org/learn/synapses.
The nine-week course consists of nine lectures of about 90 minutes each, offered through Coursera, a provider of free online courses from the world’s leading universities. Students can progress at their own pace and participate in discussion groups to deepen their learning experience.
Students will gain an in-depth understanding of how the human brain works and explore the fascinating future of brain science, though lessons such as:

Prof. Idan Segev is an award-winning Hebrew University teacher, Head of the Department of Neurobiology, and the David & Inez Myers Professor in Computational Neuroscience at the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences.
