Corie and Michael Koss are deeply committed to family, Jewish philanthropy and Jewish continuity. One of their favorite priorities has been The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. They have been steadfast donors, providing young people with scholarships for several years.
Michael Koss established Koss Real Estate Investments in 1971, specializing in the development and acquisition of commercial property. He is also the Chairman and Founder of Koss Resource, a commercial real estate website with comprehensive informational resources including a groundbreaking real estate financing search engine. He is a past Chairman of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Western Region and past General Chair of the Jewish Federation Los Angeles Campaign. In 1991 he served as President of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) LA Ambassador Campaign, and received the organization’s Tree of Life Award. In 2004 he was selected by the Jewish Federation as the annual Real Estate and Construction Division Honoree. Michael Koss served as the Chairman of the Board of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation in 2005 and 2006. He is currently the Co-chair of the Jewish Federation Centennial Endowment Campaign, which has raised $100,000,000 to date. He also serves on the Board of Regents of Brandeis University, the Los Angeles Board of the Jewish Federation Council, Judaism by Choice and Los Angeles Birthright Israel.
Corie shares with Michael a profound connection to serving our Jewish Community. She is a Board member of Stephen Wise Temple and is also active with the Jewish Federation as a proud solicitor and cabinet member of the Sylvia Wiesz Women’s Campaign. Corie enthusiastically embraces Judaism, and is in her fifth year of Jewish studies. She attends classes through the Florence Melton school of Adult Jewish Learning, a program of The Hebrew University.
