A devoted supporter of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and AFHU, Brindell Gottlieb has provided exemplary leadership and philanthropy in support of a wide array of medical, educational and cultural organizations. Her work on behalf of others has improved the lives of people in the United States, Israel and other parts of the world.
Dedicated to AFHU’s mission, Brindell Gottlieb serves as President of AFHU’s Western Region and as a member of the national board. A Benefactor and Associate Governor of The Hebrew University International Board of Governors, she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in 2012 in recognition of her humanitarianism and commitment to Israel’s well-being.
Motivated by her love and admiration for beloved late husband, real estate developer Milton Gottlieb, Brindell has fostered cutting-edge research and faculty recruitment at the university’s Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC). These interdisciplinary investigations aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases. Brindell Gottlieb has provided support for Hebrew University students on scholarships, and for eight years, she has served as the incomparable hostess of the AFHU Western Region’s scholarship fund-raising event, The Bel Air Affaire. The UCLA graduate and former teacher has nurtured arts and cultural organizations in Los Angeles. She also has advanced medical initiatives at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center, the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and the Children’s Burn Foundation.
