June 15, 2023 –The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU) presented an Honorary Fellowship to prominent global wealth manager and Jewish leader Samuel (Sam) Sandler on June 12th during the 86th Board of Governors Meeting in Jerusalem, Israel.  

Mr. Sandler is a founding member and President of SOL Capital Management, an investment advisory firm, servicing individuals and families on a global basis.  

Previously, Mr. Sandler was Chief Executive Officer of Fabriles del Norte S.A. (FANOSA), one of the first manufacturing companies in Mexico to expand exports to the United States. Before that, he was a consultant at Podolsky & Associates, a global management consulting firm.  

Mr. Sandler is a member of the American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) National Board of Directors, the AFHU Mid-Atlantic Region Board of Directors, and the National Campaign Committee. He is dedicated to advancing the mission of the Hebrew University through scholarship support and by creating a personal legacy of success for doctoral students at the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences.  

In addition to his involvement with AFHU, Mr. Sandler has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since 2003. Lastly, Mr. Sandler is an active participant on numerous family advisory boards.

“My connection to Hebrew University began at the age of 12, when my grandmother would ask me to translate “Thank You” letters she received from the recipients of scholarships she helped fund,” Mr. Sandler said. “It is truly my absolute honor and privilege to continue her legacy for the following generations to come.” 

Mr. Sandler earned a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico.
