On January 16, 2016, American Friends in Palm Beach celebrated with Michelle and Joseph Jacobs as they accepted the national Scopus Award from Michael S. Kurtz, AFHU National Chairman, and Professor Menahem Ben-Sasson, Hebrew University President.  Honorary Chairs for the gala were Roberta and Stanley Bogen and Barbara and Richard Rothschild. Dinner Chairs included Mickey and Larry Beyer, Theresa and Charles Davison, Sherry and Kenneth Endelson, Reva and Harvey (z”l) Grace, Mitra and Michael Margolis, Ophelia and William Rudin, Judy and Robert Snyder and Robbi and Bruce Toll.  Robert Fromer served as emcee for the Night in the Desert-themed gala, which featured Moroccan style entertainment and a special performance by Darren Criss, musician, composer and lead actor in the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series “Glee.” Dinner proceeds benefited AFHU and the construction of the Palm Beach Courtyard at the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC) at The Hebrew University.
