GLOCAL
An innovative MA program in international community development, GLOCAL (Global/Local) Community-Development Studies, was launched in 2011. This program, taught in English and designed to impart expertise in fields relevant to the development of local communities in impoverished regions, is expected to answer a growing need for enhancing the work of organizations committed to narrowing the gap between the "haves" and the "have-nots" worldwide. The first academic program offering such international development training in Israel, studies focus on understanding international NGOs, and provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge for working with communities across the globe. In addition to academic study, students will participate in semester-long internships abroad with international NGOs. The program is expected to double its enrollment this year. Read more about the GLOCAL program (article from the fall 2011 AFHU News) and on the Federmann School of Public Policy and Government page on this website.
