Rehovot is home to the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Quality Sciences, whose achievements have historically ranked among the most visible and valuable of the University's contributions to Israel.
The Drip Irrigation techniques developed here in the 1940's have been adopted around the world - and research activities continue to play a central role in advancing agriculture to strengthen the Israeli economy.
Today, The Hebrew University is the only institution in Israel to offer a degree in agriculture.
