 Event Summary: Midwest Region Board Meeting

Thirty people attended the January 16th AFHU Midwest Region Board meeting including Lee Miller, managing partner of DLA Piper and member of The Truman Board, Ralph Gidwitz of Capital Results Chicago and Charles “Corky” Goodman, Chairman of the Board of Governors of The Hebrew University.  Corky gave a 10 minute presentation about the University strike.  His stress and concern regarding the situation was apparent. 

The past presidents of the Midwest Region including Todd Lundy, David Rubin, Jimmy Matanky, and current president Michael Freed met beforehand and formally nominated Dan Schlessinger to be President. ( Gail Gruen, Executive Director, had Larry Glick’s proxy.)  He was unanimously elected.
