2008 is a banner year, marking the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel, the 90th anniversary of the cornerstone laying of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the 40th anniversary of the Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace. What better way to celebrate these milestones than a journey through time with AFHU on our President’s Mission to Berlin and Jerusalem?
Accompanied by Israel Prize winner, Professor Shlomo Avineri, we will learn about Germany's Jewish community before and after the Holocaust and explore contemporary German responses to the single greatest tragedy of the 20th century.
The excitement of Israel -- present and future -- will be evident when we travel to Jerusalem and celebrate Albert Einstein's vision for a University of the Jewish people that would lay the groundwork for a magnificent Jewish state. Receptions, briefings and events will focus on the achievements of Israel's top academic and research talents.
Share in this special opportunity to remember and honor the past while embracing the promise of the 21st century.
