Ambassador Dan Gillerman was appointed Israel's 13th representative to the United Nations in July 2002 and assumed his post on 1 January 2003. Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Gillerman had been the CEO of Nagum Ltd. and Agrotechnology Ltd. Since 1985, he has served as Chairman of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce. more
Richard C. Holbrooke  
Richard C. Holbrooke is a former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and served as a member of President Clinton’s cabinet from 1991-2001. A career diplomat, he played a central role in the development and implementation of U.S. policy in the Balkans, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and in dealing with humanitarians issues such as the HIV/ AIDS epidemic. more
 

Sallai Meridor (invited) is Israel's new ambassador to the United States. Previously, Ambassador Meridor was chairman of the Jewish Agency, where he enhanced the agency's ability to aid the rescue and absorption of Jewish immigrants to Israel. A graduate of The Hebrew University, Ambassador Meridor is a former chairman of the World Zionist Organization. more

Dan Senor  

Dan Senor was a Senior Advisor to Presidential Envoy L. Paul Bremer III, the Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority, until the handover of power in Iraq. Senor rode into Baghdad on the first convoy of civilians into Iraq from Kuwait, less than two weeks after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime, and was one of the longest-serving American civilians in Iraq. more

Bret Stephens  
Bret Stephens writes "Global View," the foreign-affairs column of The Wall Street Journal. He is a member of the Journal's editorial board,, as well as a member of the Senior Leadership Team of Dow Jones, the Journal's parent company. He also is a regular panelist on The Journal Editorial Report, a weekly political talk show carried nationally by the Fox News Channel. more
     
ALEF 2007 SCOPUS GALA KEYNOTE SPEAKER
George F. Will  
George F. Will's newspaper column has been syndicated by The Washington Post since 1974. Today it appears twice weekly in just under 500 newspapers in the United States and in Europe. In 1976, he became a regular contributing editor of Newsweek magazine, for which he provides a bimonthly back-page essay. In 1977 he won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary in his newspaper columns. more
