On Saturday, September 17, 2005, AFHU's Western Region hosted its second annual "A Chocolate Affaire," an elegant evening of world-class chocolates, first-rate cuisine, martinis and sumptuous desserts held at a prestigious private residence in Beverly Hills. Renae Jacobs-Anson served as chair for memorable evening. Los Angeles Region President Richard S. Ziman acted as honorary chair.
This year's "A Chocolate Affaire" also included a delectable array of gourmet fare generously donated by popular eateries The Grill on the Alley and Beacon Restaurant, and featured dining and dancing accompanied by live jazz from the Billy Mitchell Quartet. Special guest Yifat Pinhasi, a Hebrew University student ambassador, spoke with American Friends about her latest University experiences and Hebrew University Vice President Avinoam Armoni brought special greetings from Mount Scopus.
Proceeds from this popular event benefited the student scholarship campaign.
