The Federmann School of Public Policy and Government

The Federmann School of Public Policy and Government

Since its establishment, the Federmann School of Public Policy and Government has been building bridges between academics and practioners and preparing its students to do likewise. The School serves as an epicenter for faculty of diverse disciplines who engage in a community of active encouragement and interchange, a dynamic which is at the heart of the school.

The Federmann School is one of the key players in the development of a new culture of public management in Israel, a culture that will be characterized by integrity, efficiency, comprehensive knowledge, morality and a deep commitment to public service.  Its leaders will be well-equipped to guide Israel's decision- and policy-making to meet the challenges and social needs in Israel today.

GLOCAL: "Think Globally, Act Locally, Learn Glocally
The Federmann School of Public Policy & Government and the Gilo Center for Citizenship, Democracy & Civic Education at Hebrew University offer an exciting and innovative interdisciplinary Master’s degree program in public policy called Glocal Community-Development Studies. Glocal is one of the first programs of its kind taught in English by faculty from Israel and around the world.  The program aims to educate and train a new generation of international development planners and policy makers prepared to tackle on a community level, the global challenges related to the work of international non-government organizations (NGOs) in impoverished regions worldwide. Through classroom studies and field work, Glocal will provide students with unique opportunities to play a meaningful role in development efforts in these areas.  To learn more, download the GLOCAL program brochure | Read an article on GLOCAL from the fall 2011 AFHU News
