Scopus Student Village

The Scopus Student Village, a complex of nine buildings constructed on a ten-acre plot adjacent to The Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus campus, is providing badly needed dormitory space for 1,500 students from all walks of life.  This new facility is likewise helping Hebrew University to attract the finest students to Jerusalem by offering a living an environment that promotes educational achievement and a strong sense of community.

There were 1500 students living at the village in the 2008-2009 academic year. Of them:

○        About 1200 were undergraduates.
○        About 300 were MA students or took supplementary courses for MA.
○        About 30 were PhD students.
○        About 20 families lived at the village, few of them with children.
○        About 400 international students
○        About 400 students who study in campuses other than Mt. Scopus.
○        Most of the students in the dorms originate from outside of Jerusalem.
