Hebrew University’s School of Pharmacy is Israel’s only academic institution for training pharmacists for professional practice in community, hospital, clinical, institutional and industrial pharmacy.

• The FDA-approved Perio-Chip® in conjunction with the School of Dental Medicine
• Securing a worldwide licensing arrangement for development, production and marketing of an antiepileptic drug created at HU
• The formation of Nanolymf, a biotechnology start up company dedicated to advancing a nanotechnology- controlled release drug delivery system
• RECEPTRA, a pioneering project employing a new approach that may alleviate allergies and asthma, licensed through Yissum, HU’s transfer company
• Research showing that stress during pregnancy has detrimental effects on offspring  

The Institute for Drug Research
The Institute for Drug Research (IDR) was established in 2009 by the School of Pharmacy to meet the complexity and challenges facing drug research and development today. The IDR, the only institute of its kind in Israel, includes scientists and research groups from various fields of drug-related research, who are working across the complete spectrum of the field, from basic computerized drug design, through synthesis of novel molecules and their biological and therapeutic investigation to the development of sophisticated targeted delivery systems.  Download the New IDR Brochure brochure
