Welcoming Professor Menahem Ben-Sasson

On October 8, 2009, AFHU hosted a reception at the residence of The Honorable Gabriela Shalev, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, in order to welcome Professor Menahem Ben-Sasson.  Professor Ben-Sasson, a former Knesset member and past rector of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was elected university president during the 72nd international Board of Governors meeting and annual convocation in June 2009. Ambassador Shalev, who warmly introduced her friend and colleague, is a graduate of The Hebrew University and former member of the Faculty of Law.
