Bel Air Affaire 2009

It was a purple and blue extravaganza replete with a musical sculpture of harp wire strung from the stage to the rooftops at this year’s student scholarship fete, “The Bel Air Affaire.” Once again hosted by Brindell Gottlieb, the lavish dinner party for 125 scholarship contributors on September 12, 2009 was successful in raising more than $260,000 in support of student scholarships at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Under the distinguished leadership of Honorary Chairs Patricia Glaser, Sam Mudie and Richard Ziman and Affaire Co-Chairs Renae Jacobs-Anson, Dr. David Anson, Helen Jacobs-Lepor & Dr. Norman Lepor, this year’s occasion continued the tradition of featuring extraordinary marquis talent. Guests were treated to the sonic sounds and exotic choreography of the acclaimed group String Theory – a world music and dance troupe whose centerpiece is a playable harp sculpture with strings that extend across the event venue.
