AFHU Board of Directors Annual Meeting - May 15, 2011

The AFHU Board of Directors Annual Meeting/Elections were held Sunday, May 15, 2011, preceded by a warm and relaxing Saturday evening leadership dinner featuring a brief performance by Israeli Pianist Nimrod David Pfeffer, and a talk and discussion with Hebrew University of Jerusalem Professor Dror Wahrman. Sunday’s Annual Meeting was followed by a lunch program with a presentation by Hebrew University Ph.D. candidate Jennifer Oser, and a special visit by the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.

Region Presidents Pamela Emmerich (Greater New York), Daniel I. Schlessinger (Midwest), and Rita Bogen (Past President, Southeast Region) participated in a Regional Presidents’ Round Table Discussion to explore topics requested by the presidents.  The meeting was chaired by AFHU President Martin E. Karlinsky with the Management Committee, Regional Executive Directors, and Senior Staff invited for a dialogue focusing on region-centric perspectives.
