Archaeology

The Institute of Archaeology is Israel’s oldest university archaeology department. Its excavations at major historic sites have shaped many of the current models in Israeli archaeology and have contributed to a better understanding of past human behavior. The Institute serves as a teaching and training institution that also conducts interdisciplinary research programs.
