Ambassador Efraim Halevy
Ambassador Efraim Halevy heads the Center for Strategic Policy Studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem's School of Public Policy. Ambassador Halevy earned his master's degree in law from Hebrew University and then began his professional career with the Mossad, where he worked for 28 years, becoming director of Israel's intelligence organization. He later served as Israeli Ambassador to the European Union in Brussels and as National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. He was a secret envoy of five Israeli prime ministers, and was publicly cited by Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin for his role in forging the Jordan-Israel Peace Treaty.
