Computer Science
The prestigious Institute of Computer Science strives to expand in further engineering-related directions at the cutting edge of scientific research.

•  Developed Video Synopsis software - a proprietary image-processing technology that creates a summary of original full length surveillance video. The synopsis is made possible by simultaneously presenting multiple objects, events and activities that occurred at different times. The technology is licensed to Israeli start-up BriefCam.
• Created the “EyeQ” chip, which enables cars to sense impending collisions and take action to prevent accidents
• Developed a novel method for ultra-rapid pattern recognition, applicable in facial recognition, visual data retrieval, in surveillance and elsewhere

Computer Engineering
Research and study in this program focus on robotics, pattern recognition, computer architecture and operating systems, artificial intelligence, neural networks and more.

• Developed an award-winning, miniature image-guiding robot system for precision in keyhole neurosurgery, minimizing patients' pain; this system was developed jointly by Hebrew University, the Department of Neurosurgery at Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center, and The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
