Achievements in Biomedical Engineering

• Developed electrical pulse treatment for minimally invasive tumor removal without harming neighboring tissue, organs or blood vessels

Professor Boris Rubinsky headed the team that developed this technique, and co-authored the paper on the technology with Dr. Gary Onik, Director of Surgical Imaging at Florida Hospital Celebration Health. Their findings were published in Technology in Cancer Research and Treatment (February 2007).
